
WHAT IS ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS POLE FITNESS?
This discipline covers the fundamentals of safe and effective poling with a broad range of simple tricks and spins, key techniques for climbing, basic transitions plus sitting on the pole. We will also cover an introduction to invert prep. Our skilled teachers prioritise health and safety and will ensure you are safe throughout your pole journey and progression. Working through our own self-created Studio 94 syllabus you will work through Level 1 tricks and spins that help you to build strength, especially upper body and core. As the course progresses you will also learn how to combine spins whilst learning new spins with a view to making choreography or routines, linking moves to create smooth and fluid sequences. Unlocking the secrets to a successful routine will be taught, how to change direction in a routine and structure a dance so that appropriate rest points can be included in the choreography.
This class is designed for those who have never done Pole Fitness before and all students will be at a similar level to each other. We ask that you complete all sections of the Level 1 syllabus before moving to Intermediate Pole. This is to keep this session suited to Beginners and to keep students progressing through to the next level of Intermediate Pole.
WHAT IS INTERMEDIATE POLE FITNESS?
We focus on developing the basic skills learned in the Absolute Beginners syllabus and moving onto Level 2 while adding progressions and building more intensive combos into your training to build stamina. You will have already covered invert prep work, so master the inverts and take it to training arms only preparation. Using progress chains, combinations, and sequences will be challenging, but training stamina and introducing advancements will help avoid move plateaus and ensure safe progression. So the main focus is Intermediate pole skills, introduction to arms-only preparation skills, stamina and endurance, intermediate strength, conditioning, and flexibility focusing on developing the basic skills learned at the Beginner level, while adding the next block of inverted and arms-only movements. We will also learn how to combine moves together – linking combinations is both challenging and exciting! Students’ confidence, stamina, strength, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness will improve significantly – students will mainly learn how different moves link together and transition into each other in different ways. We will be able to identify where students’ progress may have plateaued, stopping you from moving onto an advanced level until you are physically and mentally prepared to do so. There are copious amounts of Intermediate combinations with a huge amount of information to take in. It is important to work safely and steadily through this material to learn correct sequencing and doing this through combinations is important part of your Intermediate Pole journey. You will have completed around 75% of the level 1 syllabus, this is because prior knowledge of Intermediate moves will be required. As these moves generally have fewer points of contact with the pole – they tend to be inverted – or more complex combinations of beginners moves, they require a greater degree of strength, flexibility and conditioning and MUST be taught absolutely correctly. Again you can be assured that there will be other students of a similar skillset in the same class. We are looking for around 75% of this level to be completed again before recommendation to the Advanced sessions, ensuring safe and correct progressions through all the fundamental prerequisites.
WHAT IS ADVANCED POLE FITNESS?
These sessions cover the highest level of instruction in pole fitness exploring arms-only techniques and an introduction to handsprings and dynamic movement. We will cover coaching techniques for training advanced level students into their own teaching journey and further developing the concept of progress chains to empower our students to be confident enough to progress on as ambassadors in the industry. We will continue to work on combinations and core movements, building strength and stamina with correct technique, demonstrating level-appropriate entries and exits.
WHAT IS EXOTIC POLE FITNESS?
A beginner Exotic Pole session where you will learn fun, sassy routines, dynamic clacky tricks and sensual flow movement. Please be aware that you may be joining a session where we are part way through a routine, but this is not a problem as we drill, drill, drill! Muscle memory will ensure you’ll have it nailed in no time! .This class is designed to help students with performance goals, whether they want to compete or simply want to learn how to link all those moves together in a beautiful routine. The class content will consist of dance routines, floor work and transitions and will help to improve co-ordination, confidence and grace in performing.
Linking combinations is fantastic! It allows students to progress in a number of ways – students will increase stamina, both in strength endurance and cardiovascular fitness, As a Choreo student you will learn how different moves link together beautifully and transition into sections in fluidly, different ways.
Beginner and Intermediate combinations, transitions and floor work are so expansive, they can provide a huge amount of material to learn so sequencing through combinations is important part of students Pole Flow learning. This is a great cardio workout as well as an excuse to put into practice what you’ve learnt in Pole Fitness!
WHAT IS SERENITY STRETCH AND STRETCH AND FLEX?
First and foremost we stretch for wellbeing and mindfulness. These focused sessions pull from techniques across aerial disciplines to hone your strength and flexibility. They’re designed to not only complement your skills and movement on the Pole and in your choreography, but also your overall physical and mental fitness on the ground and in everyday life. This is a session including combinations of upper and lower body stretch focusing on ALL the splits, backbends and helping you to achieve those wow factor dance and pole moves. In this class you will learn about your body and the way it moves along with how to stretch safely and effectively. Every body stretches differently and we will ensure that each stretch is working to support your needs and goals covering warm up routines to specific stretches, to improving specific moves and whole body sequences, of which you can build into specific combos and routines.
The more advanced students will be taken through a progress chain of strength conditioning too and more challenging sports stretch sequences that will conditioning the body for those strenuous moves when moving forward from the Level 1 syllabus. This will ensure you are taught all the fundamental base moves to help support moving on to more advanced levels. This is ideal for building strength, increasing flexibility and nurturing our peaceful serene constitutions! The sessions focus on safely increasing your range of movement and control through dynamic stretching and calming, linked flows, identifying the pros and cons of each and providing advice and guidance on when best to use them. Please note – there is no previous stretch experience required to attend this class.
WHAT IS !!! SHOWGIRLS !!! BURLESQUE / CHAIR DANCE?
This is a choreographed group routine using elements of sassy Burlesque and cheeky chair dance. The session focusses on team work, visual aesthetics and performance elements and is a fun, cardio workout. Combining elements of Burlesque, contemporary and Exotic dance and challenging movements this is an exhilarating way to burn calories and learn a routine. It’s a fun way to get a gym workout using aerobic movement and dynamic flow. It’s also the best excuse to dress up and experiment with outfits and props! Team work flows in this class, ideas stream and amazing things happen! A brilliant opportunity to build confidence and meet new people and why not give yourself a chance to perform what you’ve learnt in our annual show.
WHAT IS B2B-6 ULTIMATE INTRO TO SWPF SERVICES?
This is our newest course to complement our brand new studio space! Have you ever thought of trying any of our disciplines but don’t know which one to go for? Do you want to give them all a go before deciding first? And would you prefer to train with people at your own level? Then this is the course for you! We are proud to introduce our new B2B-6 ULTIMATE INTRO TO SWPF SERVICES course which caters for all of these delectable things! Then train further in your chosen discipline OR continue the course just because you love everything!
Week 1 – You will cover an introduction to Pole Fitness, a full description is detailed above under ‘Absolute Beginners Pole Fitness.’
Week 2 – You will start your introduction to Serenity Stretch, again detailed above.
Week 3 – Exotic Pole introduction to tricks, fluid choreo and sensual movement, you can find a full description above.
Week 4 – Introducing you to Burlesque Chair Dance, impressive chair tricks and the start of a new routine! Full routine can be found above.
Week 5 – Learn a routine pulling together all the elements of Pole Fitness, Exotic Pole, Stretch and Burlesque – everything you have studied in the previous weeks. We implement this to music, drill it a thousand times, then marvel at what we have achieved! You will already have trained all the elements needed in the previous weeks to reach this level.
Week 6 – Here we will perfect the routine and dress up for a final performance, you will have the opportunity to showcase this routine to family and friends if so desired and you will receive your certificate of completion!
Price – £72.00 for 6 weeks but we are keeping the first 3 courses at an introductory rate of £50.00!!! There is the option of dropping in on any session for a single week at any point for a PAYG price of £10.00 per session.
WHAT IS RASCALS KIDS POLE?
Kids need to burn energy – they have lots of it! They need to be consistently challenged and will discover their own great potential in these energetic sessions which also help to build confidence and make new friends. I am qualified to deliver sessions that are formulated specifically for children’s bodies and learning methodologies which are different to adult learning. I am DBS checked and First Aid trained so your kids are safe with us! Our Rascals have the chance to implement their learning to themed routines such as Halloween and Christmas where the parents are invited to spectate their skills. They will delight and astound with what they can achieve and we teach them how to nurture life skills for everyday life. I also teach calming restorative yoga type stretching to aid coping skills and encourage mindfulness and we often end these sessions with lots of yawning! They will sleep soundly after telling you tales of what they’ve achieved and who their new friends are.

If you wish to turbo-charge your training, refresh techniques or simply work in some extra practice for a show or competition, ask me about availability to work with you on a one-to-one basis! I will discuss with you beforehand what your goals are and I’ll develop a lesson plan to achieve them. Whether it’s complementing your existing training or nailing a nemesis move, I can help!
My private tuition include elements of conditioning, stretching and combination sequences resulting in an all round discipline and improvements in confidence. Lose weight, tone up and make new friends, you will not look back! Our community is super friendly, empowering and supportive, we do not allow toxicity and cliques in our framework and you will be asked to leave our community if this creeps in.
I take bookings for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 people. Rates are more preferential the more people that are in your private session, you can bring your own friends or ask me about other people that I have waiting who also want to share – we can work out a time to suit all!
